An adaptation of this circuit was used by Bernie Hutchins as the hysteric comparator for later Electronotes VCOs. Output amplitude has temperature dependence of diode voltage drop.

Variable peak clipper. Uses current limiting of CA3080 for sharp corners. Change R7 and R8 to increase clipping range. With values shown, clips from 10-15 volts. A2 can be TL07x series op-amp.
